She was a dear friend of mine, though I didn't see her as often as I might like to.
Carissa, you touched all of our lives and have left an imprint that won't go away. We thank you for that, and will miss you. We remember what good times we had. Thank you.

Carissa Joan Manicke, 18, of 613 S.Oak Ave., died at 9:24p.m. April
24,1999, in the emergency room of St.Joseph's hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Wenesday at St.John's Catholic church. Burial will be in the gate of heaven cemetery
She was born Dec.28 1980 in marshfield Wisconsin to Michael and Donna Manicke. She attended Lincoln and Washington elementary schools and was currently a senior at marshfield senior high school. Carissa participated in cross country events and track at school. She had been employed at Cenex Service Station and at the marshfield News-Herald
where she was the assistant district manager. She enjoyed art, collecting
unicorns and figure skating.
Her family will miss her smile and her care-free spirit.
She was a member of St.John's Catholic Church and the 1157 Transportation Company of the Wisconsin National Guard based in Oshkosh.
Local Women Takes own life
A 18-year-old Marshfield women allegedly committed suicide Saturday night by driving her car into a tree at WildWood Park.
According to the Marshfield Police report, Carissa J. Manicke, 413 N walnut Ave. was driving north on tower road at a high rate of speed. At about 8:32pm she failed to follow a curve in the road, and drove into a tree. She was taken to St.Joseph's Hospital, where she died of her injuries. According to a report, a suicide note was found.
