~*~ Feature Characters ~*~
  
Here are the guidelines for applying for a feature character!
  
First, browse the characters in the Feature Character room (You
can get there from the Hall.)  Choose which one you think you would
enjoy playing, and which you think you have the skills to play.
  
Send an Email to yukon_trails@dogmail.com with the subject 'Feature
Character Application' and provide the following information:
  
        - Your Name
        - Your current characters on Yukon Trails MUCK
        - Whether you will be able to connect at LEAST the minimum
	  times listed in this news file
        - Which FC you are applying for
        - If you have read the book from which the FC comes
        - Why you believe you should be granted this character
        - Any other information you feel is important
  
A notice will be placed in the MOTD and on the message board saying the
character has been applied for, in case anyone else wishes to challenge
you.  (May the best person suited for the role win).
  
An interview will be scheduled with you (and anyone else who applies
within 5 days of the previously mentioned notification).  Be prepared
to RP!  Just in case :)  We suggest you have good knowledge of your
choice's background and attitudes/demeanour.  Otherwise you won't be
able to play like the character.
  
After all interviews are completed, the Wiz(zes) will contemplate over
the interview sessions and decide who got the part.  We want the best
for this MUCK, and so will be choosing who we think will play the
character most beneficially to the MUCK.
  
Feature Characters will be asked to connect at least 2-3 hours a day,
3 days a week.  If you feel you can't be around that often, it's best
not to apply, at least for a major FC.  Of course exceptions will be
made for vacations and whatnot, just try to notify the staff so we
don't think you went AWOL.  :)

Feature characters begin at a specific point in the book, as noted in
the 'news fc plots' listing. Tinyplots and roleplay from then on out,
is up to the FC's player, with the caveat that the FC *must* be played
in a manner consistent with the FC's personality from the book. If you
have questions about this, ask a Wiz.
