~*~ Getting Started ~*~ Got a character and wondering what to do now? Well, if you didn't when you requested the characters, setting your description should be one of the first things you do. The easiest way to accomplish this is to type "editplayer" or use: @desc me = (without the <>'s of course). This is very helpful for other players RPing with you, so they know what they are looking at. Now, what about scent? Well, to set your scent, use the editplayer. To get into the program, simply type 'editplayer' without the 's. Select the feature that allows you to set your scent, and fill in what you like. For convenience, you may also use: @scent me = (again without the <>'s) You can smell other players by typing 'smell ' You can also edit your say messages so that they differ from the boring Name says, "... and whatnot. There is a say, an ask, and a yell setting. First, type '#say' and hit enter. Then type the *singular* verb you wish to use. For instance, 'growl' (not growls). Do the same for #ask and #yell and don't hesitate to ask if you need help. Remember to use the singular verb, the program adds the rest for you. Now, until you find a more suitable home, you can set you home to the Character Linking Room, just off the Cave of Awakenings. You set your home by typing: @link me = here Anytime you get lost, just type home, and it will take you to where you have set your home. You can also type 'hall' at anytime to get back to the OOC area. You must be OOC to do so, however. You may wish to provide more info on your character. Just type 'pinfo #set' (without the 's) and you can set further information there. This is optional. Not know how to find someone? Want to get to them, or bring them to you without searching? Try typing: MEET Lost your connection to your ISP and thing you may have a ghost still connected to the MUCK? Just type @bootme when you get back.
